Day 9

Today we had our usual raw food classes, but after that we got some very bad news. Edna, a classmate that had gone home ill the previous day, had passed away. Her husband informed us that is had nothing to do with detoxing. She had been on chemo for a cancer, but at the hospital they found out that she also had a brain tumor that they were unaware of.

As you may guess, this was very upsetting news for us all. She had been a very friendly woman, who was a great classmate. She had been on my uncooking class team, so I had some extra time to get to know her. She had such a wonderful smile, and by her attitude in class, you might not have guessed that she was in pain.

We had bought some aprons and had them personalized. Her apron came in today. We decided to all sign it as though she was receiving it. We will give it to her family along with a plant and a card. We will all remember her in our own private ways. I'm sure she will be with us in spirit on graduation day!
